HOME SCHOOL

As you already know we have three kiddos, their ages are 10, 12, and 15. I am a stay at home mom and I home school all three children.
I use the Charlotte Mason style of learning. They learn through reading a large amount of living books -- books that come to life.
They learn many different subjects and I try to keep each lesson to 15 minutes.

We also encorporate lots of lifeskills and handicrafts in our approach to teach our kids a well rounded education.

We engage in the following subjects:

ART

MATH

SCIENCE

NATURE STUDY

HISTORY

GEOGRAPHY

BIBLE STUDY

LANGUAGE ARTS

READING

LITERATURE

MUSIC

HANDWRITING

SHAKESPEARE

SPELLING

POETRY

FOREIGN LANUAGE

HANDICRAFTS

LIFESKILLS

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

I will add to this post as often as we engage in these subjects and they will be organized by subject and then link to activity and a photo of what we are up to.
If you notice the same post in different subjects that just means it can cover two subjects with one activity!
If you never want to miss a post FOLLOW me by EMAIL found at the top of my blog.

Tip for learning and teaching with large books
Use a recipe stand to hold books open while you are using them.

  1. They looks great. I'm just starting homeschooling my 2,4,6 years old kids. My journey just started. I'm sure you will know what I'm feeling with all the excitement and worries. So thanks for your sharing. I've so much to learn from you all.

  2. What resources do you use for foreign language? As a Spanish teacher and creator of many resources for the Spanish classroom, I often wonder how I can help home school moms.

    1. We use Speaking Spanish with Miss Mason and Francois, Volume 1
Just short simple lessons as we learn. I teach me and the three kids at the same time.
