This is a quick yummy dessert!
We seem to have an abundance of cheddar cheese here at our house lately.
So I grabbed some crushed pineapple while I was at Aldi's earlier this morning and we are having this tonight after supper!
What you need:
2 cans of crushed pineapple
2 cups of sugar
4 cups of cheddar cheese
2 sticks of butter
16 TBS of flour
2 sleeves of round butter crackers ( I used the Aldi's brand) Ritz is fine too.
What you will do:
I used a
2.5 quart temptations baking dish. I would recommend spraying it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
In a bowl :
drain your pineapples add sugar and cheese and mix
Place in baking dish
In the same bowl add 2 sticks of melted butter and 16 tablespoons of flour (I have double the recipe-- that is why the tablespoons are so many--did not take time to convert-- ha ha)
Place both sleeves of crackers in zipper bag and beat until they are crumbs.
Mix with other ingredients in the bowl.
Spread cracker-butter mix over the pineapple mix.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
Serve warm..
Enjoy!
I am feeding a family of 5 so I made a double batch, you can cut it in half if you are making it for a smaller number of folks.
HERE are some of my other yummy recipes that I have tried and LOVE!
